Testimonial of Dr. Thorin Gault

As I have become older – and hopefully wiser – I have made it a policy to seek out people, services and businesses that truly live what they do. People who live, breathe, eat and sleep what they offer. People who are kept up at night trying to figure out how to get even better at serving their customers and clients. Finding an individual, let alone an entire culture who approach their craft this way is rare. This was what I found with Tyler, his incredible staff, and many of the members of Cornwall Crossfit.

As a chiropractor who practices a leading edge system that is unique and rare, I have always been obsessed (in a healthy way) with constantly improving and evolving my knowledge and skills. Hours of study and hundreds of thousands of dollars in travel and courses are what I have gladly paid to live my life this way. At times it has been frustrating to experience service from others without the same commitment.

The first time I walked into Cornwall Crossfit was to give a presentation on Network Spinal Analysis. I was setting up my computer as the last workout of the day was finishing up.  I immediately felt the commitment of every instructor and athlete in that room. At that moment I knew that I had to start crossfitting!

The last 2 months have been exciting and full of gains! Despite being a university level athlete in 2 sports and weight training since my early teens I quickly realized that I really was NOT in very good shape (having your butt kicked by teenage girls can be both a humbling and motivating experience). Since starting at Cornwall Crossfit I have drastically increased my endurance and become even stronger despite losing 15 pounds of body fat. My energy has also increased significantly and I feel an internal lightness that I have never experienced before.

Before discovering Tyler’s gym I trained regularly at home but had become really bored with it. Working out was something I did not because I looked forward to it, but because it was something I was supposed to do. Now I can’t wait to see what the next workout will be and am disappointed at what I will miss if I am out of town. Thanks to the passionate coaching of Tyler, Josee and Kyle I have set the goal of competing at the World Masters Games in Torino, Italy in Olympic Weightlifting – a sport I had never done before.

Finally and perhaps most importantly Crossfit has brought the competitive fire of athletics back into my training. Not competing to defeat others, but to be motivated by others like me to push myself beyond what I even thought was possible. It also feels great to know that I am helping others break through their own limitations.

My wife has also seen great results at Cornwall Crossfit and it gives us something to look forward to together. Our boys (5 and 3 years old) are also anxiously awaiting the upcoming Crossfit Kids program Tyler is creating.

Returning to my original point about seeking out services delivered by people who fully live what they deliver, I am amazed at how Tyler has created and nurtured an entire staff (thank you so much guys!) and membership who embody this. I have found some other businesses that have also been successful at this and while they may cost a little bit more at the outset, the short and long term results, relationships, and satisfaction are well worth it.

The world is changing rapidly and what people need today are sustainable results, opportunities to constantly evolve, authenticity and commitment. All of those things are readily available at Cornwall Crossfit.

Thank you!

Well said Thorin! I had also done stop & start stints @ the gym…even working out @ home, but I never had the encouragement of others as I do here. The support & guidance has kept me going with both physical & mental benefits…& @ 44 years old I have never been as strong! Love it!!
