Keep these handy!  They’re perfect for a post workout snack or for a hungry child’s snack.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of nut butter (cashew, almond)

2 tablespoon of raw honey

2 tablespoon of cocoa nibs

2 tablespoon of shredded coconut

3/4 cup of protein powder ( natural, not sweetened)

1 teaspoon organic, alcohol free vanilla

2 tablespoon crushed nuts (raw almonds)

Directions

Mix nut butter, protein powder, honey and vanilla until smooth.  Then add remainder of ingredients. Rill into 1 inch balls and place in an airtight container in the fridge for storage.

These can be made with many different ingredients to create custom protein balls to satisfy your palate.

These are so good!! Only takes minutes to make.

  2. These are brilliant!! I made mine with sunflower seed butter (I am allergic to nuts) and rolled them in sesame seeds, they were absolutely delicious, thanks for a great recipe.

    Sam :)

P.S. The meatball recipe is awesome too!

  3. James Garten says:

Do you guys use an electric mixer or do them with your hands. Please let me know. I made them last week and they were totally awesome (and a little messy since I mixed with my hands). If They are easier with an electric mixer I will go out and buy one just to make these.

My hands…works best to mix all ingredients.

  5. Jordyn says:

What type of protein powder did you use?

  6. Chris MacLean says:

Same question as Jordyn, what kind of protein powder are you using and do you get it locally?

  7. Josee says:

I used Charles Poliquin Whey stronger vanilla.

  8. Abby says:

My mixture doesn’t get smooth like you say. They are hard to stick together into balls. And have to really work them to get them to stick in balls. any suggestions?

  9. Josee says:

It might depend on two things #1: how “oily” was your nut butter and #2 Did you pack your protein powder to measure? I usually add nut butter or add protein powder depending on the consistency.

  10. Sue says:

I added about 1 tablespoon of Coconut oil. Made them a bit more moist & cohesive. YUMMY!!!! Even my picky friend loved them!
